# What You'll Need:
→ Chocolate Layers
01 - 7 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
02 - 7 oz high-quality white chocolate, chopped
→ Peppermint Topping
03 - 6 peppermint candy canes or hard peppermint candies, crushed (about 1/2 cup)
→ Optional
04 - 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
# How to Make It:
01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or arrange 12 silicone snowflake molds.
02 - Melt the semi-sweet or dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler.
03 - If desired, add 1/4 tsp peppermint extract to the melted dark chocolate and stir to combine.
04 - Pour the melted dark chocolate into the molds or spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet to a 1/4-inch thickness. Tap gently to level.
05 - Refrigerate the dark chocolate layer for 15 minutes until firm.
06 - Using a clean bowl, melt the white chocolate by the same method. Stir in 1/4 tsp peppermint extract if using.
07 - Pour the melted white chocolate over the set dark chocolate, spreading evenly with an offset spatula.
08 - Immediately sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies evenly over the white chocolate and press lightly to adhere.
09 - Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes until fully hardened.
10 - Remove snowflakes from molds or break into pieces if using baking sheet. Store airtight in a cool place.
